Snow Mobile Safari searching for the Northern Lights (09:00-12:00)
Start the last day of the year with an exciting snowmobile trip in the surroundings of Longyearbyen. On Svalbard there are only 45 km of roads and during the winter time, the only way to reach most areas is by snow mobile. The stars and the moonlight throw light in the polar night giving you an atmospheric experience. On a clear night, it is not unusual to see the Northern lights. The reindeer dig in the snow looking for food and the fox tiptoes around in the dark. We stop to absorb the impressions while the guide serves hot drinks and biscuits. In order to drive a snow mobile you need to bring a valid driver’s license. Two persons per snow mobile. Possibility to drive your own snow mobile at a supplement.

Snow Cat Safari in the Polar Night (16:00-18:00)
You will be picked up from your hotel by our guides in the impressive red snowcat. Before starting the tour, our guides will give you a quick briefing on the trip. They will then drive you out of town, into the darkness and over the frozen Advent Valley. The trip takes you to Hiorthhamn, a long-closed mining town on the northern bank of Advent Fjord. Here the guide will serve hot drinks and share stories about the area, while you enjoy the views towards Longyearbyen.

Husky Safari to Foxdalen (09:00-12:00)
We drive from the hotel to the kennel approx 12 kilometers outside Longyearbyen. Here you will be equipped with clothes and boots for the trip. You will meet the dogs and be taken through what you need to know before we start putting harnesses on the dogs. In pairs you will take turns in driving a dog sledge team of 6 dogs. No previous experience needed.
